When did you first get involved with CCFI?

While my CCFI story started in 2010 by attending Hands & Hearts Luncheon, my heartbeat started for programs helping children and families long ago.

Why were you moved to join CCFI as a Board Member?

Following my parents’ divorce, my Mother was quick to connect 5th grade me with a CCFI like-minded agency in Fort Worth, Texas providing counseling at a reduced cost. Without a doubt, the resources and skills my family received set me on a path to a life I know and love today. From that first Hands & Hearts event, I was taken by the mission, the people and the heart of CCFI. Most of all I was filled with hope to help another 5th grade student in my beloved Norman.

What did you enjoy most about your service on the Board?

My CCFI story grew to new heights when I joined the board for six years, served as board president for two of those years during the Capital Campaign and the historic move to our current facility.  I remain forever grateful for the opportunity to serve and give to an agency that heals, empowers and strengthens.

What do you feel is the biggest impact CCFI has made on the community?

To improve the heart of each child and every family in our community.

What would you like to say to encourage others to get involved with CCFI, whether by donating or volunteering?

Nine years later, my heart continues to beat for the hope that every child is nurtured in our community. Full of hope you will join us in making sure the children of today and tomorrow walk a path towards a life they will know and cherish.
