When did you first get involved with CCFI?

I became involved with the Holiday Wishes program many years ago. I would say close to 10 years ago!

Why were you moved to join CCFI as a volunteer?

Christmas has always been a favorite time of year for me, and I want to help as many kids as possible have a magical Christmas. For some, I know that Christmas can be sad and stressful. I feel like the volunteering I do for Holiday Wishes really makes a difference for the kids and parents in our community. Every Christmas morning, I think about all the gifts that were dispersed and are under the trees of many, many families in our community, and it warms my heart!

What do you enjoy most about volunteering?

I love knowing that I’m helping kids.

What do you feel is the biggest impact CCFI has made on the community?

CCFI offers many different services to reach families going through rough times. We are very lucky to have these services offered in our community!

What would you like to say to encourage others to volunteer at CCFI?

CCFI is a great place to volunteer! Whether you have a little time or a lot time to volunteer, they always appreciate the help. Groups are welcome too! During Holiday Wishes, Norman North High School came and volunteered a couple times and accomplished quite a bit in a short amount of time. If you want to help kids, come volunteer at CCFI - they care!
