Boys & Girls Club of Norman Teen Center at Reaves Park

Boys & Girls Club of Norman Teen Center at Reaves Park is the newest program offering at Center for Children and Families, Inc. (CCFI) and will provide Norman Public School students in grades 6–12 with a safe, welcoming space to learn, grow and connect. With dedicated programs in Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Character & Leadership, teens will gain skills, support and opportunities in a space designed just for them! The Teen Center at Reaves Park will keep teens engaged with our program throughout middle and high school to support their aspirations of high school graduation, further education and workforce development.

Summer camp will begin in June 2026 with full school-year programming beginning in August.

What Will Daily Programming Look Like?

The NEW Teen Center at Reaves Park will serve Middle and High School students weekdays during the school year from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the following evidence-based programming:

  • Power Hour is offered each day for homework help and tutoring.

  • Project Learn utilizes fun, hands-on, and interactive activities to target academic success.

  • SMART Girls and SMART Moves focus on preventing high-risk behaviors and the development of social, emotional and behavioral health.

  • Cooking Matters teaches members about nutrition and making healthy choices in the kitchen.

  • Triple Play includes three programs (Daily Challenge, Social Recreation, and Healthy Habits) that focus on the developing habits beyond physical fitness.

In addition to this robust offering, Club members may also participate in one-on-one mentoring sessions, career readiness preparation, art activities and much more! CCFI also provides case management services to members and their families PLUS mental health and family support services to Club members in need to further support prevention and intervention of unhealthy behaviors.

By focusing programs in these areas, we are able to provide well-rounded and exciting out of school programs to teens in our community, for the low cost of just $20 per school year.

How Can You Help?

When youth in the Norman community feel empowered and supported, everyone succeeds! Statistics show that teens involved in Boys & Girls Club programs are more likely to graduate high school, pursue higher education or vocational training, and are less likely to engage in risky behaviors. By supporting our NEW Teen Center, you will be investing in Norman’s future!

Volunteer

If you’re looking for a fun, hands-on way to make a meaningful impact, our summer cooking series is a great place to start! Individuals, families and other groups are invited to sign up for a date, plan a breakfast that can serve up to 40 teens, purchase key ingredients, teach a small group how to prepare the meal, and help serve the food. By working alongside our teen members, you can teach them valuable kitchen skills that they will carry on for the rest of their life.
