Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in joining Center for Children and Families, Inc. *Volunteers are critical to the success of our agency and truly make a difference in a child’s life. We offer a variety of opportunities, many available year-round, for individuals and groups who are looking to help further our mission to heal children, empower youth and strengthen families. All participants must be 18 or older to volunteer in direct services with clients; however youth under age 18 may volunteer with direct adult supervision in special circumstances.

All prospective volunteers must undergo a mandatory Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) background check. Volunteers are responsible for reimbursing the associated fee of $19.00, which can be paid by check, cash or credit card. If you are unable to pay, please contact Chelsea Hinkle at CHinkle@ccfinorman.org or 405-364-1420.

*CCFI does not provide volunteer opportunities for court-ordered community service.

Our Promise to Protect Children

CCFI provides a safe environment for children and youth to heal and grow. As a trauma-informed agency, we work to protect those we serve from abuse and maltreatment by having rigorous policies and procedures in place to address all aspects of child safety. We carefully screen all staff and volunteers, provide training on topics such as physical, emotional and sexual abuse awareness and prevention, and continually monitor adult-child relationships.

Group Volunteer Opportunities

Throughout the year, our agency hosts an array of special events, benefits and miscellaneous projects, most of which require extra staffing. These types of opportunities are ideal for groups or organizations who'd like to volunteer but are unable to commit to long-term service. In addition, we also seek group volunteers to be consistent and caring adult role models for the members of Boys & Girls Club of Norman.
