Trauma Focused Services provides therapy, education and support to children with histories of neglect and/or emotional abuse, and their foster or adoptive caregivers. Experiences of neglect, physical abuse, and/or emotional abuse can have devastating long-term effects on a child’s development throughout his/her lifetime.
Cleveland County received over 3,000 reports of abuse and neglect during 2009 (OKDHS), the numbers are overwhelming. But, it is possible to make a difference one child at a time. CCFI’s Trauma Focused Services help children and families overcome these negative experiences through therapy and support in order to enable children to lead healthy, productive lives.
