Who Benefits from PA Services
Why are Parents Assistance services needed?
The Parents Assistance Program provides parents with support and education on positive parenting skills. Many times adults who did not grow up in a healthy environment themselves struggle to use healthy parenting and coping skills to effectively raise their children. Parents tend to parent their children in the ways of their own parents if not exposed to and taught other ways. Our staff is here to offer ideas and support while helping parents to better understand themselves, their children, and the role of parenting.
Who does the Parents Assistance program assist?
Court and non-court involved families who struggle with issues surrounding parenting. Many families are involved in the Child Welfare system and have been asked to attend parenting groups through our agency for more positive outcomes.
How can I benefit from these services?
We know it is hard for parents to reach out for assistance; it takes courage and self-awareness. We want to support parents and help them to make positive changes in their parenting style.
