Who Qualifies for DVA Services

Why are DVA services needed?

Separation and divorce between parents can often be a very painful experience for children.  While parents may feel that conflict is inevitable or irresolvable, conflict often causes fear, anxiety, and emotional trauma for kids.

Our DVA program works to reduce children’s stress and strengthen parent-child relationships in separated families with high-conflict.

Who does the DVA program assist?

DVA services are available for high-conflict parents in separation situations, including parents who were never married, those in the process of getting a divorce, those who have been divorced for years, and famlies with child guardianships.  We work with both voluntary and court-ordered families.

How can I benefit from these services?

Our services can help parents to communicate with the other parent and resolve issues more amicably, provide consistent child visitation, make better decisions about their child’s needs, and reduce their child’s trauma.
