Children's Groups            & Play Therapy

Parents Play
These sessions are for parents with children up through age 12. Parents learn special ways to play with your child.

Therapeutic Playgroups
For children whose parents are involved in the Parent Education Groups.

Play Therapy
Young children lack the verbal and cognitive skills to talk with a counselor about their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Therefore children often do not benefit from talking through their problems as adults do. In a play therapy session the child is able to act out their feelings and emotions. Children express themselves through toys and play. A play therapist can observe how a child views him or her self, the world, and others through this type of therapy.
