Divorce Visitation Arbitration Program (DVA)
Parents who have experienced or are experiencing divorce or separation may believe that conflict is inevitable or irresolvable. What can be worse than a parents struggle is the fear, anxiety and emotional trauma of children going through a divorce. The DVA program services are designed to reduce a child's anxiety and stress level. Through education and family support services parent conflict is reduced, family communication skills are increased and parent-child relationships are strengthened. DVA services are available for parents in any situation, including those who are in the process of getting a divorce, parents who have been divorced for years, separated parents who were never married, and families with child guardianships. We work with both voluntary and court-ordered families. If you are a parent in conflict the Divorce Visitation Arbitration Program can help you to reduce your child's trauma, resolve your issues more amicably, communicate with the other parent, provide consistent child visitation and make child-focused decisions about your child's needs. |
