What do you do as a CCFI volunteer?

I work in the front office helping out with answering phones, database work, and whatever else they need help with.

Why do you volunteer?

We all want to make this world a better place for future generations.  In my opinion, that process starts with being an advocate for children in one’s own community.  I decided to start volunteering for two reasons.  First, I’m a firm believer in the importance of community and helping others and wanted to exercise those values.  Secondly, it’s been proven that volunteering is good for your health and over-all well being.  After reviewing various volunteer opportunities on the United Way website, I decided that the services that CCFI offered were in-line with those values.

What do you like best about volunteering?

The professionalism, positive attitude and friendliness of the staff.  The few hours that I spend at CCFI tend to be the most uplifting hours of my work week.

What would you say to someone considering volunteering?

If you have a desire to help children, CCFI is the place for you!  They have an inspiring vision for children in the Norman community.  Plus, the volunteer hours are flexible and the staff is professional, friendly and grateful.  For me, volunteering at CCFI has been a rewarding experience.
