FAQs

Do you have a question for CCFI?  Please send your question to contact@ccfinorman.org, and we’ll respond to you promptly!

How is CCFI funded?

We fund our services through private contributions, grants and contracts, in-kind gifts, and program fees.  We encourage you to look through our financial information.

How much of my donation goes directly to help children and families?

CCFI successfully keeps administrative and fundraising costs low while spending a high percent of our budget on client programs.  81 percent of our funds go towards client services.  This means 81 cents of every dollar goes directly to help children and families in our community.

How do clients find out about your services?

People in the community find out about our programs and services in several ways.  Many children and teenagers connect to our Neighborhood Centers and Teenage Parenting programs through their school counselors and teachers.

Clients from our Divorce Visitation Arbitration and Parents Assistance programs are often referred by their attorney or judge.  Other social service agencies, state agencies, and churches refer individuals and families to our services.

We also receive many calls a day from people who have heard of us by word-of-mouth or from other sources.

How many clients do you serve every year?

Our programs helped 1,595 children and adults in Cleveland County in 2009.  Nearly all of our clients use these services for 6 months to 1 year, and sometimes 2-3 years.

How many diapers do you give out through your diaper closet service?

Our diaper closet service offers small packages of diapers or formula to help families get through the month.  We handed out 32,325 diapers in 2009!
